Candlestick Patterns · Bullish
Three White Soldiers
Three bullish candles in a row, each closing higher.
Each candle opens inside the prior body and closes near its own high. The sequence shows persistent buying, usually after a decline.
This is an example of how traders often plan the pattern. It is not a promise that price will reach the target.
Identification
- Three bullish candles.
- Each close is higher than the previous close.
- Each opens within or near the prior body and has a small upper shadow.
Market context
The pattern is about follow-through. Three green candles with long upper wicks do not qualify.
Entry example
An example entry is a pause that holds above the first soldier, or a break of the third high.
Stop-loss example
An example stop is below the first soldier's low.
Target example
An example target is the swing high before the decline.
Common mistakes
- Counting three ordinary green candles that open far above each other.
Candlestick and chart patterns are probabilistic observations, not guaranteed trading signals. This page does not report a win rate.
