Candlestick Patterns · Bullish
Bullish Marubozu
A long bullish candle with little or no shadow.
Price opened near the low and closed near the high. Buyers controlled the whole candle.
This is an example of how traders often plan the pattern. It is not a promise that price will reach the target.
Identification
- The candle is bullish and unusually long for the recent range.
- The upper and lower shadows are tiny or absent.
- The close is at or next to the high.
Market context
It shows strong buying during that candle. It can appear as a breakout or as an exhaustion candle, so the location matters.
Entry example
An example entry is a later break of the marubozu high, or a pullback that holds above the candle's midpoint.
Stop-loss example
An example stop is back through the marubozu low.
Target example
An example target is the next prior high.
Common mistakes
- Buying the close of every long green candle without a level nearby.
