Candlestick Patterns · Bearish
Three Black Crows
Three bearish candles in a row, each closing lower.
Each candle opens inside the prior body and closes near its own low. The sequence shows persistent selling, usually after a rally.
This is an example of how traders often plan the pattern. It is not a promise that price will reach the target.
Identification
- Three bearish candles.
- Each close is lower.
- Each opens within or near the prior body and has a small lower shadow.
Market context
It is the bearish counterpart of three white soldiers.
Entry example
An example entry is a break of the third candle's low.
Stop-loss example
An example stop is above the first crow's high.
Target example
An example target is the swing low before the rally.
Common mistakes
- Counting a gap-down sequence that never opens inside the prior body.
