Candlestick Patterns · Bearish
Bearish Harami
A small bearish body inside the prior large bullish body.
The rally pauses. The second body is inside the first, so buyers did not get immediate follow-through.
This is an example of how traders often plan the pattern. It is not a promise that price will reach the target.
Identification
- The first candle is a relatively large bullish candle.
- The second body is small and inside the first body.
Market context
After a rally, this is indecision rather than a finished reversal.
Entry example
An example entry waits for a close below the first candle's low.
Stop-loss example
An example stop is above the first candle's high.
Target example
An example target is the swing that began the rally.
Common mistakes
- Shorting the small inside candle before the range breaks.
