Liquidity Sweep
Identify liquidity grabs and potential reversals.
This is the liquidity-sweep setup already documented for 9. Price trades beyond a prior high or low and then closes back inside the range.
This is an example of how traders often plan the pattern. It is not a promise that price will reach the target.
Identification
- A prior high or low is visible.
- Price trades beyond that level.
- Price then closes back inside the prior range.
Market context
The educational entry is after the reclaim, in the opposite direction of the sweep. The sweep can be above a high or below a low, so the direction is not fixed.
Entry example
Price trades beyond a prior high or low, then closes back inside the range. The educational entry is after that reclaim, in the opposite direction of the sweep.
Stop-loss example
Beyond the wick that swept the level.
Target example
The opposite side of the range, or the middle of the range. Neither outcome is guaranteed.
Common mistakes
- Entering while price is still outside the range.
- Treating every wick through a level as a completed sweep.
Candlestick and chart patterns are probabilistic observations, not guaranteed trading signals. This page does not report a win rate.
